Common questions
Does pAI work offline?
Yes. pAI never connects to the internet. Airplane mode is fine.
What happens to my original files when I import them?
pAI copies them into its own storage. The originals stay where they were. Renaming or deleting inside pAI never touches them.
The dates on my files look wrong.
Open the folder, tap Refresh, and pick Re sort folders. pAI re checks EXIF data and filename dates and moves files into the right month or year folder.
How safe are my files inside pAI?
The files pAI imports live in a private sandbox that other apps cannot read. You can also lock the whole app with a PIN plus Face ID or fingerprint, so nobody can open pAI on your phone without unlocking it first.
I forgot my PIN.
Reinstalling the app clears the PIN. You'll lose your manifest (import history, classifications) and the files you copied into pAI. Your phone's originals are still safe wherever they were, so you can re import them.
I want to start over.
Profile, then Clear everything, wipes all the files pAI has copied in. Your phone's original files are untouched.
